These images show light at its most elusive.
An old iron-clad tea factory near Darjeeling lies high in the hills, bathed in the clearest of mountain light. Inside, however, the maze of cavernous industrial spaces coated in rust and tea dust is barely illuminated. The silent, silvery insistence of the light inside is precious. It is measured out in feathered rays, deflected beams, and uncertain reflections.
